Wang Xiaode, graduated from Nankai University in 1993 with a doctorate degree in history. He is currently a professor in the College of Sociology and History of Fujian Normal University, a distinguished professor of the Chang Jiang Scholars Program by the Ministry of Education, and the president of Institute of Latin American Studies. His main research interests are the history of American foreign relations and the history of Latin America. Representative works are Conflict and Cooperation: A Historical Survey of U.S.-Latin American Relations (Co-author), Dream and Reality: A Study on Wilsonian Idealist(m) Diplomacy, American Culture and Diplomacy, Challenges and Opportunities: A Study on Free Trade Area of Americas, The Foundation Age of the American Diplomacy, etc. He has published more than 100 papers in academic journals such as Social Sciences in China, Historical Research, World History, etc. His works have won Science Research Famous Achievement Award in Higher Institution in Humanities and Social Sciences by the Ministry of Education of PRC, Famous Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences in Tianjin and Famous Achievement Award in Social Sciences in Fujian Province.
